The SSAB guarantee for flatness is ≤ 3.0 mm deviation, both before and after laser cutting. SSAB Laser 420ML Plus meets and exceeds the requirements of EN 10025-4. Dual material certification and CE marking is available upon request.

SSAB Laser 420ML Plus comes with much more than the SSAB flatness guarantee of ≤ 3.0 mm deviation before laser cutting and for laser-cut parts. Post-cut operations such as cold forming will benefit from the minimum inner bending radius of 1.0 x thickness at 90⁰ bending angle. Impact energy is guaranteed to be ≥ 40 Joules at -50⁰C, which allows use in arctic conditions, or in any part, component or product that benefit from increased toughness.

SSAB Laser 420ML Plus, like all products and grades in the SSAB Laser product family, is the result of process control from beginning to end. Superior steel cleanliness and a consistent chemical composition with low sulphur, phosphorous and silicon form the basis. The hot rolling process is optimized to perfection and gives the plate its typical smooth and adhesive micro-scale and surface roughness, optimized for laser cutting.

The SSAB Laser product family consists of hot rolled plate and sheet and cold rolled sheet with yield strength levels up to 460 MPa. All products benefit from superior steel cleanliness, well balanced and consistent chemistry, optimized for laser cutting and narrow and consistent dimensional tolerances.
